For The Love of God, Care About Your People!
How Authentic Care Transforms Workplace Culture and Human Connection
In a world where corporate mission statements often sound inspiring but fall short in practice, Scott Warren presents a transformative call to action: authentic care.
Too many companies have a purpose and values that are out of alignment with how they actually operate. In For The Love of God, Care About Your People!, Warren lays out a practical, humorous, and heartfelt guide to realigning our work with the values we claim to live by. Through vivid, real-life stories—from unforgettable customer experiences at Chick-fil-A to handling delicate moments with grieving clients—Warren reveals how caring for people can revolutionize the workplace and beyond.
What if your work wasn’t just about transactions, but true connection?
This book challenges leaders, employees, and organizations to go beyond lip service and embrace genuine care for colleagues, customers, and clients. By sharing experiences that will make you laugh, reflect, and take action, Warren demonstrates that caring is more than a “nice to have”—it’s a game-changer for both workplace culture and human connection.
Bridge the gap between company purpose and daily practice by cultivating real relationships that leave lasting impacts. Warren’s approach is more than just a guide to improving customer service; it’s an invitation to change how we live and work together by putting people first.
Expect to be moved. Expect to be challenged. Most of all, expect to be inspired to take practical steps to truly care—because when we care about our people, we don’t just transform our work, we transform the world.

As Christians, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus everywhere, including our workplace. But how can we bring Christ into our secular work environments? In “Preach Where You Reach”, using real examples from his professional and personal experience, Scott Warren takes us on a practical, and humorous journey to becoming the Christian leader we are called to be.
A general rule that we ofter hear is, never talk about politics or religion, and certainly not in the workplace. But, as Scott Warren explains, there are ways that your deep abiding faith can come to work with you and not only guide your decisions, but influence the entire organization. But don’t stop there! Perhaps you interact with customers, suppliers, media, Boards or investors. What is your sphere of influence? Who do you encounter on a daily basis?
You too, can “Preach Where You Reach”!
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:
Relatable, Relevant, Reliable and Refreshing
A co-worker loaned me this book and I could barely turn the page without making notes and underlining key points! And, I could barely put it down and didn't want to give it back when I finished it. Therefore, I had to order him another clean copy! (Hence the reason for this review.)
"Preach Where You Reach: Bring Your Jesus to Work (Every) Day" is so relatable and empowered me to work so much harder to be "that person"......you know, the one unbelievers, doubters and those who simply haven't heard what a wonderful friend we have in Jesus is.. who makes them think, "What is it about him/her? What is it that is different and why does he/she continue to show kindness in this situation?" (Whatever that situation may be.)
The illustrations, experiences and stories the author uses to connect real life to Biblical truth helps the reader think about opportunities he/she has to be the light for the Kingdom and gives direction on how to make the most of those situations.
I highly recommend not only reading this book but, giving it as a gift to those you know who have the heart to be this type of "connector" but perhaps need insight form someone who has made his life's mission to bring our Savior (the One who never gives up on others, who loves, forgives, understands and encourages) to work, and elsewhere, with him each day. And don't forget the cardinal rule: "Never give a book without an inscription!" :)

“Preach where you Reach” is a fun and engaging book geared toward the faith- filled, Holy Spirit-filled believer. This is not a “how to” book but an honest, heart felt look into Scott’s personality which flows over and into his leadership style. Although Scott does give concrete examples through the characteristics of Jesus on how to “Preach where you Reach” they are bathed in humor, humility and honesty. It’s clear Scott had a God given leadership style even before he gave his life to Jesus but once he surrendered his life to the Lord his spiritual eyes, ears and heart were opened to interact with others from a spiritual perspective. I highly recommend reading this book as you’re bound to get lost in its pages and find a few take –a-ways for your own life and workplace! As Scott states we Christians need to go be the “marketplace apostles” that God has called us to be! Enjoy!
